2018 School Quality Guide

February 20, 2018

Our School Quality Guideavailable online and in print, is the only resource with objective information about every district and charter school in Cleveland. Each school's page includes information that allows students and families to compare schools and consider options.

With the goal of enabling Cleveland families to choose the school that best fits their child’s needs, the Guide provides four ways to consider school quality:

  • Ratings provided by the Ohio Department of Education, based on state test results;
  • A ranking of all rated schools in Cleveland on two different measures;
  • Community ratings, based on reviews by students, family members, educators and others;
  • School-provided information that allows each school to tell families what sets it apart.

The Guide also provides a neighborhood listing of schools, contact information and demographic data for each school, and a list of high-quality preschools.

Available to anyone who wants a copy, families can pick up free copies of the Guide at Cleveland Public Library branches, Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority sites, Cleveland recreation centers and other partnering institutions. The Alliance’s School Quality Ambassadors and staff will distribute the Guide directly to the community at events throughout the spring and summer.

All the information included in the print edition of the Guide, as well as full access to community reviews, search tools and links to other data, is available on our interactive website at myCLEschool.org.

For more information, or if you would like us to send you copies to distribute to members of your community or group who are looking for information on their school options, let us know at info@clevelandta.org.
